Is anyone else letting employees use their own leave when on the expanded FMLA at 2/3 regular rate? If so, how are you telling your employees to record that on their timecard? Are you okay with go over 80 hours recorded?
Do you mean let them use 1/3 of their leave to makeup the difference of the Extended FMLA? We allow employees to use their leave time for what they are short paid when on FMLA, STD, or WC.
I was just told in a meeting that an employee cannot use their own leave time to makeup the 1/3
the new DOL rules leave it up to employers to allow employees to make up the 1/3 or not. I heard the State of Utah is not allowing it. Some cities are allowing it.
South Jordan is allowing employees to make up the 1/3, similar to workers compensation.
